Nicely done!

I haven't seen the other episodes, but I will definitely check them out. Love the robot, and the animation is amazing. Kudos!

Amazing art

You have a real talent when it comes to background painting, that's for sure. Was it a mixture of scans/photoshop and flash? Although nothing really happened, it was a good way of depicting a desolate place where nothing happens anymore. Is it an official job? I'd love to see something else by you with more of a story.

None of this project was scanned, the only original hand-drawings I did were for storyboarding. I illustrated all the more detailed static background elements using Illustrator, then imported the outlines across into Photoshop, where I colored them. The clouds were done enitrely in photoshop, and the animated elements (the birds, rats etc) were drawn and animated frame-by-frame directly in Flash.

I've got a few more projects in mind which I'll submit to Newgrounds, all with actual stories! The only question is when I actually get them finished. Thanks for the feedback!

Cute

'twas very cute ^^

Office Spider rules!

I grinned as soon as I saw it was a Office spin off. I like the idea very much, the way they don't mind/know him being a spider. Keep this up, you've got something here!

You are all morons

It's sometimes pretty painful to read comments on newgrounds. Mainly because they are all written by 13-16 year olds with bad spelling and unjustifiable hatred, but we're all used to that by now. What is even more horrible is reading reviews made by people close to my own age with a complete lack of irony, sarcasm and and intelligence. I'm gonna give you all a clue, and it's a very good one, one you should all write down on your mousepads: Read the authors comments before posting, and you'll go a long way.

Oh yeah, I voted all 10's just to settle the score a bit. Keep those real tankmen coming as well.

God dammit!

How come he never fucking wins anymore? Anyway, nicely done.

Yeah, you're my favorite too, Jimmy.

There is bound to be some chuckles when reading through the reviews of this movie. First of all, let me explain this to the "youngsters":

The graphics gets a 10, not because of flashy animation or drawing, but because it is the perfect way to accompany the speech. Don't you see that this guy is trying his best to give you what you want, but still only toots some lousy gundam pictures and ugly tits etc? It all makes it just so out_of_this _world hysterical.
So, graphics = 10. It's perfect.

About the style; I sincerely doubt that NG has ever seen a movie like this. This one has style in every pixel. Makes you feel good just thinking of it.
Naturally, style = 10.

Sound. The best part. I don't know how you do it Jimmy, but you've got some little actor in there somewhere. Every tone in your voice is just so perfect. I can't stress this enough. "Keanu Reeves....from The Matrix" <- great example. The pauses, the attitude, the silent exitement from a man trying his best. Priceless.
Sound = 10, minimum.

I'll just vrooom past violence & interactivity...

...wich brings us to the key element, the core, the matrix..if you wish:

Humor.

By now you'll probably understand my passion for this flash, and if you acctually read those lines above, you'll already be able to forsee my enterpretation of the humor here. Yeah it rocks. It rocks bigtime. Does it make you laugh? You bet your nutsack it does. Hell, bet three. It's just about the funniest thing I've seen here, except maybe for "my favorite reviews 1&2" plus "DBZ in a Nutshell".

I will damn near aknowledge the existance of god, the day I see a sequal to either this one or "my favorite reviews".

Jim Ether. Oh, so horny. Me love you longtime.

Impressive.

Let's see:

Better, more original action.
More humor.
More sense of whats going on.
A kickass sidekick (good name btw).
More locations.

Yeah, it's safe to say that I enjoyed this one way more than the originals, and that you can be even less modest in your own personal rating.

Cheers matey. Make that sequal.

Acctually made me laugh

Great movie. Great, great movie.

Thing that makes it so great is the voices. When the one guy talk about gummybears,(?) I laughed really hard. Wich is a good thing. The ending was awsome, and you don't hear alot of people say that nowadays. But I wanted it to be even longer ofcourse =)

Long story short...my hand is on fire! HEHEAeah!

Fun, not perfect.

It was wellmade, and shows huge potential, but my main complaint is that it really wasn't that funny. The start ruined it for me, with the poophumor and the sexphones. I liked the part with "use the stinger you have in your pocket". Here you acctually use the game's "weakness" to give us a laugh, the others weren't metal gear-jokes at all. Greyfox cheated? Um, ok..funny? Well, I'm sure loads of people will find it funny though, we can't all have the same taste =) I need just a tad more though in jokes.

The voiceacting could have used some talent. Some were embarrasing, some were ok (like liquid, that one worked)

I did like it however, just so you know =) But it could have been so much more fun. Seems like you've just decided to make a parody, without having alot of ideas to jokes, so you've had to make them along the way. I hope your next movie will have that last "ummph" jokewise.

Good job, keep going, cheers.

smiffy-uk responds:

Thanks for the in depth review.

I tried mixing up the jokes between Metal Gear jokes and regular jokes so people who haven't seen Metal Gear could still enjoy it. =)

I'm here to review your work. And to one fine day rule the top 50.
